Supporting Women in STEM: The Rosa Riganti Foundation at Trinity College Cambridge

January, 2026

There are moments that remind us exactly why we do what we do. Trinity College Cambridge‘s latest First Person feature is one of them.

The article tells the story of Carmen Bizga-Nicolescu, a first-year Mathematics student at Trinity and recipient of the Trinity International Bursary for European Women in STEM — supported by the Rosa Riganti Foundation. Carmen grew up in Romania, where a maths degree is rarely seen as a gateway to the world. She believed otherwise. Today, she is studying at one of the greatest universities on earth.

We are proud to have played a part in making that possible.

The Foundation’s support of this bursary reflects a simple conviction: talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Our partnership with Trinity College Cambridge is built on that shared belief — and on a commitment to ensuring that the right person always finds the right door open.
